pamella roland

after battling the flu/a cold/everything bad this past week and missing a lot {all} of LA fashion week i was very excited that this weekend i had a chance to attend the 19th annual SANDPIPER fashion show featuring designer pamella devos and her pamella roland fall 2011 collection at the beverly hills wilshire.  it was an astonishing mix of sparkles and chiffon that flowed gracefully down the runway.  a strong asian influence was apparent throughout the draping ball gowns and cocktail frocks and the looks were perfect for just about everything.

the finale piece, this gorgeous red coat, was hand painted with japanese flowers and was truly the most stunning piece of the collection.

due to the failing of my camera battery/a woman who REALLY liked to flip her hair {ALL OVER}, not all of the looks were captured.  make sure to look out for pamella roland because IRL these pieces are fan.tas.tic. xx

CMC runway

i am honored to say that i had the opportunity to attend the CMC's Contemporary Collections Runway Show for summer 2011 {thank you Kelsi!!} and it was amazing. the breezy fabrics and short hemlines looked fabulous on the concrete runway and it even made me wish for a little more sunshine! 


this show featured six designers - Darling, Blue Pearl {a brand new sports wear line introduced by Allen Schwartz of A.B.S.}, Amour Vert, Eva Varro, Hippietiques and Lindi. each designer's looks highlighted the use of color and pattern for the upcoming season and i am in love with all the CORALS and GREENS that i keep seeing everywhere {how awesome is that coral Missoni-esque sheath!?}!!!  


another aspect of the show that i am happy to say was totally consistent throughout each designer was the presence of SKYSCRAPER heels -- looks like teetering platforms are here to stay {!!!} -- also very dark extended eye make up {which is sort of tricky but i'm working on it...}.


all and all the day was FANTASTIC and it was even more fun to catch up/hang out with Kelsi {Dedicated Follower of Fashion} and Natalie {Pursuit of Cute}!! Thank you girls - and watch out for some more posts from our wonderful day!! x

i have something to admit...i have watched the victoria's secret fall 2010 fashion show more times than i can count...but EVERY time the segment that truly captivates my attention is the jungle scene.  my love for all animals translates amazingly to skins/prints/fur/feathers and i cannot seem to get enough! enjoy the eye candy!! xo
