ACADEMYAWARDS2011

natalie portman in rodarte - marisa tomei in charles james circa 1950 - amy adams in l'wren scott

i am totally into these deep purple-y jewel tones that go so wonderfully well with these stars' porcelain skin.  loving the baby-bump disguise and the vintage which is so IN right now...not super impressed by amy's jewelry/hair choice but take those away and the dress is fab!

mila kunis in elie saab - hilary swank in gucci - cate blanchet in givenchy

liking this lilac color that i generally think looks hideous...it's all about the hair and make-up for these to work. i give mila one of the best dressed of the night - totally loving the difference from other recent red carpets. hilary looks stunning as always and this picture totally doesn't show how gorgeous cate looked.

anne hathaway in archival valentino - scarlett johansson in dolce & gabbana - sandra bullock in l'wren scott

newly devoted to RED dresses. must get one to wear asap. anne and sandra looked absolutely regal and scarlett (i know, not really red RED...) looked dashing in the purpley/red hue she wore! love love!!

mandy moore in monique l'huilier - florence welch in valentino - michelle williams in chanel

by far my favorite red carpet color scheme...maybe because i am loving the naked look these days but mostly because this color flatters EVERYONE. totally will be investing in some nude pieces for the spring.  best goes to mandy (surprising because i can still picture her "candy" music vid...) but i am also loving the way florence went...

enjoy! xx

trend recap: GOLDEN GLOBES

lea michele {oscar de la renta} - january jones {versace} - emma stone {calvin klein} - natalie portman {viktor and rolf}

elisabeth moss {donna karan} - mila kunis {vera wang} - catherine zeta jones {monique lhuillier} - angelina jolie {versace}

scarlett johnasson {elie saab} - leighton meester {burberry prorsum} - anne hathaway {armani prive} - kaley cuoco {katherine kidd}

totally into the spring 2011 trends seen at last night's GOLDEN GLOBES! i am loving deep emerald green and so happy that so many women chose to wear it!!!.  everyone was so wonderful looking i wish there was an easy way to show them all but this was the way i saw the trend lines go down...of course there were beautiful black gowns {eva longoria, julia stiles} and everything in between but these were the ones that really rocked the red carpet!

i have narrowed my favorites to three {one from each trend group}...and they are january jones, angelina jolie and anne hathaway. who do you think was the wardrobe winner?! xx

revolution

leighton meester in emilio pucci

taylor swift in monique l'huillier

gwyneth paltrow in atelier versace

julianne hough in georges chakra

carrie underwood in talbot runhof

i am an enormous country music fan.  like, seriously.  hardly anyone i know finds it anywhere as calming as i do and despite the fact that my boyfriend is a dj and plays almost anything in the world -- he hates it.  i am also a huge red-carpet lover, so what could be more perfect than country music AND high fashion?!  obviously, the CMAs!  these are a few of my favorite looks from the night.

i dont know when leighton meester or gwyneth paltrow became "country singers" {except i hear that they have some sort country-ish movie comeing out?} but i think they both rocked it on the red carpet - meester in a flowy emilio pucci dress that was pretty with her hair and emulates that boho look i love so much and for paltrow....all i can say is DANGGGG.  of course taylor swift was gorgeous {when isn't she? does anyone know who her stylist is?!} and julianne hough and carrie underwood channeled the same marchesa-esque ruffles - which i am obsessed with.  i would LOVE to have a reason to wear a dress with enough tulle for like 5 others. haha.

all in all, the night seemed to be a huge success and miranda lambert came away with best album which made me oh so happy!  keep your eyes out for your favorite look, they will all be in Us Weekly i'm sure!  {also it wouldn't surprise me if "they" hate the pucci...
