there is something so quintessentially innocent about wild daisies that makes me dream of lounging in a sprawling field of their perfect white pedals {i would most likely be in aniphalactic shock shorty thereafter so unfortunately, never going to happen...} but i just had to pick some growing out of control outside our front door in utah to make a floral headdress and then decided to crown my parent's dog, coco, queen of the daisies. i've been so inspired/overwhelmed lately {follow me here to keep up!} it's been tricky to get it all written down but will trickle out in the next couple of posts :) XX
in the hustle of moving out of my childhood home this weekend my parents and i stumbled upon their Omani jewelry collection - scoured straight from Bedouins in the 60's and 70's. these huge silver pieces are so inspiring to me and i cannot wait to recreate some of these historical adornments with some modern touches!!
a little late on my sunday inspiration for the week but there is nothing like not being in school/having a job/adhering to a schedule to make the days of the week sort of vanish in my mind...totally missing the sun and tromping around venice beach in cutoffs as a teenager so here are some goodies to get me {and YOU} through the week!! courtesy of Lords of Dogtown - yes i know how "uncool" this movie has become but you have to admit the screen shots make you want to pick up a skateboard.....xoxo
"Sometimes she has imagined what it would be like to fly, to live in the river, to run like a horse. She has dreamed of that freedom, that power, and fears the wildness in herself that wants to live as beasts live, moved purely by need and desire. She has felt torn between the heat of her limbs and the thoughts in her mind telling her to be careful and good and always calm" - FLB
