saturday night was a hoot thanks to a dear family friends son's bar mitzva - as a thirteen year old i never realized how much fun you can have dancing with your parents! haha.  anyway, i love a reason to get all dolled up! {plus i got some real cool airbrush tattoos i shall share later...}

booty time

i am very excited to announce that i wore boots all day today!  that, in my mind, makes it definitively fall.  it's even supposed to rain on wednesday!  ohh so happy!  along with my boots i pulled out a faux fur vest and because the sun was peeking through - i stuck with my tank-top so i was not a sweaty mess for my first TA session of the quarter.  here are some outfit pics!!

pear-in

it seems particularly fitting that the last day of summer in the northern hemisphere would be a gloomy cloud-saturated day. this year seems to have passed with brief periods of sun threatened by the onset of moisture. this weekend i spent some time just south of San Francisco and as the weather gods would have it, it was fantastically sunny and beautiful. just my luck.

yesterday i attended the NFL monday night football game with brad and his dad at candlestick park.  i love football season - the changing of the air, the idea of going back to school after a lazy summer and the festivities that come with the games. anyway, it was the first professional football game i have ever been to and i am happy to say i came away with a stomach full of beer and soft pretzel and a WIN! (woohoo SAINTS!)

i am also a new convert to LACE UP BOOTS - they have ceased reminding me of the "punk" movement in high school and have transcended to an all new level in my closet. i found these steve madden PERRIN boots last weekend and after wearing them ALL weekend i will share them with all!

these have two sets of hooks in between a center lace up section and a neat red backing on the zipper. im smitten.

ps - who else has jumped on the BOARDWALK EMPIRE bandwagon? you should, its good.

fall boot frenzy

as much as i love the sticky heat of summer, i cannot wait for the fall. i have so much anticipation that i have been boot shopping. yes, i will not be able to wear these babies for a few months but just knowing that they are in my closet waiting for me is reassuring.

these boots, maryn by steven for steve madden, are beautiful. they come in three colors - stone grey, cognac and black leather. my eyes went straight to the "grey" because in reality they are actually a shade of brown which will easily match with jeans, black pants and even a brown sweater.

i love the zipper detail in the back - it is a working zipper too so there are endless ways to wear them! also, it's not super apparent in the pictures - but the whole calf portion is folded over - an interesting design that makes these boots not only great for sipping some cocktails but also just lounging around on a rainy day!!

these torin booties by sam edelman are fabulous. i spent quite a long time just staring at these beauties and actually had a dream about them last night - they are PERFECT for the nighttime in southern cali! they are tall enough to distinguish from the booties from fall 2009, which were more ankle height.

gahhh wonderful and match EVERYTHING that is in my closet. im thinking even some black knit socks and skinny jeans?
